If Love series
The If Love books must be read in order for Farrah and Blake’s two-book romance, with the publication order providing the sequence that readers should follow.[3-10] Readers should start with If We Ever Meet Again, which begins their relationship and introduces the Shanghai friendship group.[31-32]
The series combines a continuing two-book romance with two self-contained stories about other couples. If We Ever Meet Again and If the Sun Never Sets belong together because they develop the same unresolved relationship, while If Love Had a Price and If We Were Perfect each tell a separate romance involving members of the original friendship group. Although the later books can be understood independently, earlier appearances add context to their characters and relationships.[31-34]
Therefore, it’s recommended to read the If Love books in publication order,[3-10] with the first two books forming a required sequence,[31-32] as follows:
| Order | Cover | Title | First published | Continuity note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | ![]() | If We Ever Meet Again | 2020[3-4] | Begins Farrah and Blake’s romance and establishes the Shanghai friendship group. |
| 2 | ![]() | If the Sun Never Sets | 2020[5-6] | Completes the relationship story begun in If We Ever Meet Again. |
| 3 | ![]() | If Love Had a Price | 2020[7-8] | Shifts to Kris and Nate in a self-contained romance connected to the original friends. |
| 4 | ![]() | If We Were Perfect | 2020[9-10] | Brings Olivia and Sammy’s shared history into focus through a self-contained second-chance romance. |
1. If We Ever Meet Again

If We Ever Meet Again (2020)[3-4] follows interior design student Farrah Lin and former college quarterback Blake Ryan as they meet during a study-abroad program in Shanghai. Their attraction develops alongside Farrah’s design ambitions and Blake’s search for a future beyond football.[31]
This novel establishes the friends’ history and opens a romance that continues in If the Sun Never Sets.[31-32]
2. If the Sun Never Sets

If the Sun Never Sets (2020)[5-6] reunites Farrah and Blake in New York five years after Shanghai when he hires her to design his condominium. Past hurt complicates their professional arrangement while Blake tries to earn another chance.[32]
This second half of their story addresses the unresolved history from If We Ever Meet Again and completes their central relationship arc.[31-32]
3. If Love Had a Price

If Love Had a Price (2020)[7-8] follows heiress Kris Carrera as she recruits aspiring actor Nate Reynolds to expose her father’s fiancée during a summer in Los Angeles. Their staged relationship becomes complicated by attraction, family obligations, and financial differences.[33]
Kris’s self-contained romance expands the Shanghai group’s story beyond Farrah and Blake. Its main narrative precedes If the Sun Never Sets, although its epilogues reach further ahead.[32-33]
4. If We Were Perfect

If We Were Perfect (2020)[9-10] follows Olivia Tang when a flooded apartment leaves her sharing a home with her ex-boyfriend, bakery owner Sammy Yu, in San Francisco. Renewed attraction forces them to reconsider their past as they manage career pressures and family expectations.[34]
This novel gives a relationship introduced during the Shanghai year its own self-contained second-chance story, with earlier books providing context for the couple’s place among their friends.[31-34]
Twisted series
The Twisted books may be read independently, though readers would get more context for the recurring characters and relationships by reading them in publication order.[11-18] Readers should start with Twisted Love, which introduces Ava Chen and the friendship group connecting the novels.[35-38]
The four novels center on different couples within the same circle of friends, with each romance featuring its own central conflict and resolution while family history, professional connections, and shared events carry across the books. Reading the books in publication order is preferable because this sequence introduces characters and ongoing situations before later novels give them more attention, though each romance remains understandable on its own.[35-38]
Although the Twisted books do not need to be read in order,[35-38] readers will get more context and continuity by reading them in publication order,[11-18] following this sequence:[39]
| Order | Cover | Title | First published | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
Twisted Love | 2021[11-12] | Introduces Ava, Alex, and the friendships and family conflicts that connect the novels. |
| 2 |
|
Twisted Games | 2021[13-14] | Develops Bridget and Rhys’s relationship while expanding the royal storyline. |
| 3 |
|
Twisted Hate | 2022[15-16] | Centers on Jules and Josh, building on earlier family events and relationships. |
| 4 |
|
Twisted Lies | 2022[17-18] | Gives Stella and Christian the lead. |
1. Twisted Love

Twisted Love (2021)[11-12] follows photography student Ava Chen as she grows close to her brother’s best friend, Alex Volkov, while her brother is abroad. Ava’s fear of water and Alex’s traumatic family history complicate their developing relationship.[35]
This novel establishes the central friendship group and the Chen family conflicts that continue to affect characters in later books.[35-38]
2. Twisted Games

Twisted Games (2021)[13-14] centers on Princess Bridget of Eldorra and her new bodyguard, former Navy SEAL Rhys Larsen. Their attraction conflicts with his professional boundaries and the royal expectations limiting Bridget’s freedom.[36]
Bridget’s story expands the shared world to include Eldorra’s royal household, extending the friendship group’s connections beyond its American university setting.[36]
3. Twisted Hate

Twisted Hate (2022)[15-16] follows law student Jules Ambrose and medical resident Josh Chen as their longstanding hostility develops into a secret physical relationship. Working at the same clinic brings them into closer contact, while Jules’s past threatens the future she is building.[37]
Josh’s relationships with Ava and Alex carry the effects of earlier family events into this romance, while the supporting plot develops Stella and Christian’s connection.[35-38]
4. Twisted Lies

Twisted Lies (2022)[17-18] pairs fashion blogger Stella Alonso with security-company owner Christian Harper in a fake-dating arrangement intended to support their professional goals. Financial pressure and renewed harassment from a stalker complicate Stella’s efforts to build her career.[38]
Stella’s story completes the sequence of romances centered on the four friends, develops Christian’s security-related connections, and advances the shared timeline through its epilogues.[38]
Kings of Sin series
The Kings of Sin books may be read independently, though readers would get more context for recurring relationships and connected business conflicts by reading them in publication order, which coincides with their chronological order.[19-25] Readers should start with King of Wrath, which introduces Dante and Vivian’s relationship and the social circle developed across the later novels.[40-46]
Each of the first six novels centers on a different couple within a shared network of friends, families, and businesses. Their central romances have their own setups, while returning characters, changing relationships, and continuing business and security conflicts reward reading in sequence.[40-45]
Although the Kings of Sin books do not need to be read in order,[40-46] readers will get more context and continuity by reading them in publication order,[19-25] which coincides with their chronological order, by following this sequence:[39]
| Order | Cover | Title | First published | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
King of Wrath | 2022[19] | Introduces Dante, Vivian, and the friendships that connect later couples. |
| 2 |
|
King of Pride | 2023[20] | Moves to Isabella and Kai while carrying forward the first book’s social connections. |
| 3 |
|
King of Greed | 2023[21] | Brings an established marriage into focus and introduces conflicts developed in later books. |
| 4 |
|
King of Sloth | 2024[22] | Centers on Sloane and Xavier while establishing the Vault’s place in the shared world. |
| 5 |
|
King of Envy | 2025[23] | Develops Vuk and Ayana’s story alongside threats connected to earlier events. |
| 6 |
|
King of Gluttony | 2026[24] | Follows Maya and Sebastian while revisiting an earlier restaurant incident. |
| 7 |
|
King of Lust | 2027[25] | Occupies the seventh publication position, with its plot and continuity requirements unspecified. |
1. King of Wrath

King of Wrath (2022)[19] follows event planner Vivian Lau as her family arranges her marriage to billionaire Dante Russo. Their engagement brings them into a shared household while family expectations and Dante’s resistance complicate their growing attachment.[40]
It establishes the relationship history and social connections that later couples encounter, making it the clearest introduction to the series.[40]
2. King of Pride

King of Pride (2023)[20] pairs aspiring novelist and Valhalla bartender Isabella Valencia with media heir Kai Young, who is competing to lead his family’s company. Their attraction crosses the club’s member-employee boundary while both face pressure over their futures.[41]
By shifting attention to Vivian’s friend Isabella, this novel expands the friendship network while making Isabella the focus of its central romance.[41]
3. King of Greed

King of Greed (2023)[21] centers on Alessandra and Dominic Davenport as years of work-driven neglect bring their ten-year marriage to a breaking point. Alessandra’s effort to build an independent life unfolds alongside Dominic’s attempts to change and mounting trouble in his financial world.[42]
Their story brings a marriage glimpsed in earlier books to the foreground and introduces a suspense thread that later installments develop.[42]
4. King of Sloth

King of Sloth (2024)[22] follows publicist Sloane Kensington and her client Xavier Castillo as inheritance conditions push him to turn a nightclub idea into a business. Their professional relationship becomes personal while both confront family wounds and fears of failure.[43]
The creation of the Vault draws together the wider business circle and establishes circumstances revisited in King of Envy.[43]
5. King of Envy

King of Envy (2025)[23] centers on Vuk Markovic’s attraction to model Ayana Kidane, who is engaged to his closest friend. Loyalty, Ayana’s restrictive modeling contract, and threats tied to Vuk’s past complicate their relationship.[44]
It brings the danger surrounding the Vault into Vuk’s personal story and develops connections to Dominic’s earlier experiences, rewarding familiarity with King of Greed and King of Sloth.[44]
6. King of Gluttony

King of Gluttony (2026)[24] forces childhood rivals Maya Singh and Sebastian Laurent to lead a collaboration between their families’ food and restaurant businesses. Their competitive history becomes entangled with family pressure, Sebastian’s wish to cook professionally, and crises threatening the launch.[45]
This novel connects a new central romance to established business relationships and revisits the restaurant incident introduced in King of Greed.[45]
Gods of the Game series
The Gods of the Game books may be read independently, though readers would get more context for Blackcastle’s players and their relationships by reading them in publication order.[26-30] Readers should start with The Striker, which introduces Blackcastle through a romance between a star player and his rival teammate’s sister.[47-49]
The three books center on different couples connected to Blackcastle football club. Each romantic premise stands on its own, while teammates, relatives, and friends connect the stories. Because supporting characters become leads and existing relationships carry forward, publication order is also the preferred reading order. It lets readers follow each relationship’s development, even though earlier books are not necessary to understand each new romance.[47-49]
Although the Gods of the Game books do not need to be read in order,[47-49] readers will get more context and continuity by reading them in publication order,[26-30] following this sequence:
| Order | Cover | Title | First published | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 |
|
The Striker | 2024[26-28] | Introduces Asher, Scarlett, and Vincent. |
| 2 |
|
The Defender | 2025[29] | Develops Vincent and Brooklyn’s romance. |
| 3 |
|
The Keeper | 2026[30] | Forthcoming title that gives Noah and Carina their own romance. |
1. The Striker

The Striker (2024)[26-28] follows Asher Donovan as offseason ballet training brings him close to Scarlett DuBois, the sister of his rival teammate Vincent. A former prima ballerina living with chronic pain, Scarlett has sworn off footballers after a past relationship.[47]
This novel establishes the team rivalry, sibling bond, and romance that provide background for Vincent’s story in The Defender.[47-48]
2. The Defender

The Defender (2025)[29] follows Blackcastle captain Vincent DuBois as a stalker’s intrusion leads him to rent a room from sports nutrition intern Brooklyn Armstrong. Their attraction develops alongside Brooklyn’s effort to build a career independent of her father, Blackcastle’s coach.[48]
Vincent’s move from supporting character to romantic lead deepens the DuBois family connections, while Brooklyn’s friendships expand the recurring cast.[48]
3. The Keeper

The Keeper (2026)[30] follows goalkeeper and single father Noah Wilson as he hires Carina Vu to care for his daughter. An emergency has consumed Carina’s savings for a trip to Antarctica, while Noah needs reliable childcare with the World Cup approaching.[49]
By giving two supporting characters from The Defender their own romance, this novel develops the recurring cast by exploring Noah’s parenting responsibilities and Carina’s ambitions.[48-49]
