1. Maybe Someday
Maybe Someday (2014))[2-4] introduces Sydney after the collapse of her relationship and follows her move into Ridge Lawson’s apartment. This book establishes the central shared setting, the musical collaboration between Sydney and Ridge, and the relationship history involving Maggie.[10]
It is the foundation for the later books, because the group’s emotional and social dynamics begin here[10]
2. Maybe Not
Maybe Not (2014)[5-8] turns the focus to Warren Russell and Bridgette Cox, whose hostile roommate arrangement develops into a separate romantic storyline. This book overlaps with the apartment life introduced in Maybe Someday, showing more of Warren, Bridgette, Brennan, and the wider household.[11]
It deepens the shared circle before the group returns in the final book.[11]
3. Maybe Now
Maybe Now (2018)[9] continues the story after Sydney and Ridge are together and after Warren and Bridgette’s relationship has been established. It also gives Maggie a central role as she attempts to build a life beyond her former relationship with Ridge.[12]
This book depends on the earlier entries, since its conflicts and resolutions draw on the group’s history.[12]
